11.  Because of the way you play soccer.  Such honor and passion.  You treat everyone well, including your opponents.  I love being your biggest fan and it was fun to watch you play at the polo fields, just like when we first started dating.  I can't wait to watch our kids play soccer together.

It's your birthday today honey and I feel blessed to be able to spend it with you.  I love your new little BONSAI tree, I hope you like it too.  March 28th is my favorite day of the year!

10.  Because you listen to me when I am whiney and drunk and horny and you think it's cute.  Why you think it's cute, is a wonderful mystery to me, but I love you for it.

9.  Because you make me feel better when I am sad.  I am in NYC and yesterday I had a really hard day.  You listened to me, then made me feel better.  You are so gentle with me and simply kind to me and I feel incredibly grateful for that.  It's like a gift I get to open every single day.

There are many reasons today, but I am lying in my bed in The Dupont Hotel and I need to get to sleep.  You like it when I sleep, especially when I take naps.

6.  Because every minute I walk around DC I am thinking of you, and that makes me blissfully happy.  Every ounce of happiness I feel here is because of you.  We fell deeper in love the summer you interned here...from the moment I stepped out of the cab and we kissed (ok made out) in font of your apartment it was a special place for me.

7.  Because you laughed heartily about my Nacho joke the other day.   Yes, sometimes I crave nachos, and you are the only one who will find that funny with me.  You are the first person to make me feel truly funny.

8.  I love you, because you are brave.  You quit for job at Intercall today.  You looked a bad situation in the face and you did the right thing.  You are brave, and you make me feel brave too.  Thank you for that.

3. Because even though your job is terrible, you always try and be strong and get through it...and when the disappointment starts to seep out...I love you even more.

4. I love you because you are easy to be proud of.

5.  I love you for being there when I made up the word Bummy (Butt + Tummy) and you knew exactly what I was talking about.  Your bummy howled at me the other day...we had a good laugh about that!

2.  ...because when you are sick, and you snore all night no matter what position you are in, I still think you're cute.

1. ...because, even though we fought today, the entire drive to san francisco...I was inspired to start this blog.

I want to give it to you on our 10th wedding anniversary. Will I make it without giving up the surprise?

It's going to be tough.  The one person I want to share surprises with the most...is you. Which is another reason why I love you (we'll call that reason #1.3)
